All Hail The Queen

Watching the fall '08 runways felt like walking back into Victorian era Monarchy. Brimming with lace, tulle and brocade, every designer from Prada to Valentino was hip to the new trend. Of no exception was Alberta Ferretti's gray patent-leather lace-up boots under the Philosophy brand (can anyone say L.A.M.B?) While these shoes aren't our cup of tea, we can see why Victorian era influenced designs are so appealing to a great deal of women. The fine detailing and lace accents are a measure of true craftsmanship not so obvious on your every-day patent pump. You can find these Alberta...

Fall Is Here (Almost): Purple Is In

Without a doubt, purple is the shoe color of the fall season. What's nice about purple is that it's much more wearable than some of the brights we saw this past Spring, but it's also one of those season-less colors. Style permitting, you can easily wear purple shoes year 'round. We absolutely love the Kate Spade Hera for its elegant refinement and cute bow "embellishment". You can find them at zappos.com for $322....

Be&D: From Bags To Shoes

It has been a few months since Be&D made the transition from bags to shoes with their 2008 Spring Collection. According to Steve Dumain from Be&D, the footwear line is off to a good start, with the bulk of sales coming from retailers such as Harvey Nichols in London and Saks Fifth Avenue in Dubai. With shoe sales currently at 20% of the label's business, Dumain expects the footwear line to eventually ring up more sales than handbags. We absolutely love the fresh designs the label unveiled in its Spring Collection. From a company that produced bags for years,...

Shoes of The Day: L.A.M.B Crowther Pumps

We keep seeing the Gwen Stefani influenced L.A.M.B releases and wonder who actually wears these? Apparently a huge number of women in the U.S. and across the pond find them irresistible..their sales have soared since launching in 2003. We on the other hand could take-or-leave them--we just don't own an outfit that would work with the detailing. These "Crowther" Pumps, are the perfect example of the style we find to have a bit too-much going on...find me a simplified version and we would take notice. You can find the L.A.M.B Crowther Pumps at Nordstrom.com for $375.00 Discuss this post...
