What do you get when you cross the writings of fashion journalist Lauren Goldstein Crow and the head of the luxury retail division of Reig Capital Group - Sagra Maceira de Rosen? A wonderful unauthorized account of the mysterious Jimmy Choo back story.

"The Towering World Of Jimmy Choo" by Bloomsbury Publishers, due out in March, is a vibrant - behind the scenes look at the famed luxe brand who's history is a mystery to most consumers.

Although not on sale as of yet, the book can be pre-orderd from Amazon for $17.16.

After looking for the right location, Jimmy Choo opened its latest Japanese footprint in Tokyo's upscale retail district, Ginza. The new store, Choo’s sixth in Japan, features more than 1,700 square feet on two levels and will allow Choo to show Japanese customers the broadest possible spectrum of its product range.

The Ginza flagship is the latest product of Choo’s global retail push. This year, the company is opening 21 doors, lifting its store count to 82 by year’s end.

Jimmy Choo opened its first store in South Africa on Feb. 1 in the historical Victoria and Alfred Waterfront shopping complex in Capetown. The interior of the shop, conceptualized by Jimmy Choo President Tamara Mellon, was inspired by a 1940's boudoir and spans nearly 265 square feet, showcasing shoes and bags.
